Though animals may generate some additional problem of infections in your home, you must not give up your beloved pets when you have a child. Just take better care of hygiene.
* Teach children to wash their hands after touching animals.
* Do not let the animals play dirty areas of the child.
* Wash your hands after handling animals and their objects.
* Wash and disinfect regularly floors and passageways of the animals, paying particular attention to areas where food is prepared.
* Never let the animals sleep with your baby.
